Angel Olsen

Angel Olsen is an American singer-songwriter born in St. Louis, Missouri living in Asheville North Carolina. Olsen's six studio album includes: Big Time, Half Way Home, Burn Your Fire For No Witness, My Woman and My Woman. My mother is a woman with a special capacity to love children. Her parents adopted her when she was three years old and who had been caring for her since shortly after her birth. Because there's so many years of difference between us I started to become more curious about what their childhood was like. As much as any kid at my age, I wanted to find out what it was like be like growing as a child in the 1930s, and 1950s. Life in the private. Her first job was in cafes located in St. Louis during her teenager years. In the following years, she began to expand and found a community of musicians who had identical views. In 2006, she moved to Chicago and collaborated with Californian musician Emmett Kel, who is part of the Cairo Gang. All Mirrors, her previous album, released in 2019, included dark gothic-synth rock and moving explorations into orchestral music. Big Time, the first Olsen album that sings consciously of a sexually ambiguous desire, belongs to music that is a part of been around for a long time: Country. It is logical.
